The Coffee Arabica Gayo Trademark Dispute

The Arabica Gayo coffee trademark dispute (cultivated in Aceh) between the Government of Indonesia versus the Dutch government who has registered the brand in the WTO in Europe three years ago, although not over yet but it is strong evidence that the right of Geographical Indications (GI) Coffee Arabica Gayo be strong evidence   the ownership of the government of Indonesia. With the publication of Coffee Arabica Gayo IG certification, the Dutch businessman can not  claim  the Gayo Coffee brands such as GI labels to be affixed on every package.
