Promotions at home and abroad continue to be improved. Data at the Ministry of
Industry shows the number of
workers who absorbed the batik industry reached 916,783 people in 2010.
The number of consumers batik recorded 72.86
million people. Batik
production value reached Rp 3.9 trillion.
Batik product also has a competitive edge. This is indicated by the value of Revealed Comparative Advantage
(comparative advantage) of 1.4. Values above 1 (one)
indicates the high competitiveness. According to the Ministry of Industry, in
2010 batik business dominated
micro and small businesses as much as
55,573, or approximately 99.39 percent of the
