Siam Cement Group (SCG) from Thailand continue to increase investment in Indonesia.
The company set aside $ 5 billion
U.S. dollars to invest
in the next 5 years. In September 2011, SCG buy stake
in PT Chandra Asri Petrochemicals Limited (TPIA) of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT)
and Apleton Investment Ltd. The total value of acquisitions reached 442 million
U.S. dollars. Earlier, in June 2011, SCG buy 70.4 percent stake in PT Keramika Indonesia
Tbk Association (figuratively) and 93.5 per cent stake in PT Inti Arebama Sturdy
Tbk (COINS). Moreover SCG negotiating with 3-4 companies in the cement sector, building
materials, and petrochemicals in Indonesia.
SCG was founded in 1913. The company owns five subsidiaries namely SCG Chemical,
SCG Cement, SCG Paper, SCG Building Materials and SCG Distribution. (Kompas.com
